Brand Story
Since her childhood in Washington Heights, NYC, Rosanna M. Salcedo felt the pull of both sea and sand—of roots and tides—the deep rhythms of ancestry mingled with the promise of new shores. A first–generation Latina of Dominican heritage, she inherited stories of migration, resilience and reinvention. These stories would form the ground of her creative and professional identity.
Today, under the banner of Rosanna Maria Studio and Spirit, Sand & Sea, Rosanna stands at the intersection of art, leadership and healing. She is an educator, consultant, coach, and visual artist. Each of these roles draws from the same well: a belief that when we reclaim our voice and honor our story, we reclaim our power.
Spirit
In her studio, Rosanna paints not only with oils, but with memory, myth and the sacred feminine. Her canvases — rich in lotus motifs, teal gradients, sea-tones and symbolism — are meditations in form and color. They map inner landscapes of grief, hope, transformation and belonging. Rooted in her lived experience — surviving HIV, battling cancer, navigating single motherhood, enduring the loss of a child — her work invites viewers to sit with their own shadows and let the light in. Sand
Her career in educational leadership and fundraising, forging boards and building inclusive cultures, reflects the sand: the terrain of community, craft, time-borne accumulation. At Community Prep in Providence, she leads not just with strategy, but with humanity and courage. At every turn, she cultivates resilient systems and people.
Sea
The sea represents resurgence, fluidity, and the holy threshold where endings become beginnings. Through her brand “Spirit, Sand & Sea”, Rosanna invites women, leaders and creatives into retreats, workshops and coaching experiences grounded in this metaphor. She guides them to dive beneath surface currents, to feel the pull of the tides, to surface renewed. Her life has been marked by transitions—divorce, cancer, loss, reinvention—and she believes the broken places become portals of creativity and transformation.
Her work centers on a simple but profound belief: that the parts of us we once hid or grieved can become our greatest teachers. The lotus, her signature symbol, represents this truth—rooted in mud, rising toward light. Whether through color and texture on canvas, words on a page, or conversations in community, Rosanna creates spaces where women can heal, lead, and live bravely.
At the meeting place of Spirit, Sand & Sea, she offers not just inspiration, but a lived roadmap for transformation—where resilience becomes art, and healing becomes leadership.
