Day-Retreat at a Glance
Spirit, Sand, and Sea retreats emphasize reflection as a method of self-exploration. Everyone receives a journal in which to record their retreat experience. During the sessions, participants will be introduced to concepts, and given prompts for reflection and journaling. Participants will be provided quiet time to respond to prompts in their journals, and then return to the group to share their thoughts and insights. In between sessions, participants will engage in activities meant to engage the body, mind, and spirit. This can be a mindful walk in nature, a meditation session, gentle yoga, creative art project, or some other meaningful ritual. A healthy meal is shared by the group and serves as an opportunity to learn and share information about nutrition and other wellness practices.
